Welcome to Medicine on Blackwood
We are a new, modern, family oriented practice which puts its patients at the centre of our care. Your health and well-being is our team's priority. We care about the health of individuals, their families and our local community. We are very much a part of this community and look to provide timely, 'old fashioned' service together with 21st century care.
Medicine on Blackwood is a sister practice to the renowned Keperra Family Practice and Skin Cancer Clinic which was established by Dr Trish Baker in 2001. With the same guiding principles which have seen that practice triple in size in 12 years, Dr Baker in conjunction with Dr Johnson Wong, who has practiced on Blackwood Street for over 20 years has created a vibrant, caring and professional general practice for the community in Mitchelton and beyond.

A word from Dr Trish Baker
Welcome to Medicine on Blackwood. I am an experienced GP who is passionate about medicine, patient care and creating a supportive environment where our patients feel they are 'one of the family'. Right from the beginning I had in my mind's eye the prescription for the sort of family general practice I would be proud to establish.
I had known Dr Johnson Wong for many years and when he told me of the changes happening here in Blackwood Street I saw an opportunity to bring our values to your community. We are here to provide the very best in patient care and look forward to welcoming you to the clinic.
Medicine on Blackwood was officially opened by the Hon Tim Mander, Minister for Housing & Public Works on 22 February 2013.
